The Restaurant Fieldings Local has made a name for itself, with its astounding food cooked to perfection. The ambiance is very inviting and charming, and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. An exquisite experience.

First, let's establish the basic information. Fieldings Local is a restaurant located in the suburban area of The Woodlands, Texas. They are set in a charming and friendly outdoor upscale shopping center called Creekside Village Park Center(also known as “The Village” for the Locals). The Village is filled with cutesy stores like a cupcake store, candy shop, and pizza restaurant. It also has a turf field and splash pad to play in, but more on that later. The pricing is $11-30 and is open at these times-

I would, however, like to note a few things because, in a review, I need to give some advice on what to improve.

For the first thing, The restaurant is very cold- like freezing; I would recommend bringing a jacket. Thankfully it was delightful outside, so we asked for outdoor seating.

Second, even though it’s not that hard to ask for more salt, the lack thereof was disappointing. Salt is essential. It melds the whole dish together and brings out each flavor. Finally, for my last judgment, service was a little slow because our server had his hands full with people to serve inside, too, so they could have planned that out better.

My mom and I went on a Monday afternoon after school for Happy hour. Thankfully it was very inviting outside, like the stereotypical fall day with a breeze, just flawless. So, we asked them to arrange outdoor seating. The server came with a smile and gave us time to decide on what to drink; I ordered a rosemary lemonade. The drink was very refreshing. The rosemary shone through the whole drink. It was Sophisticated and had a good presentation.

We ordered a BLT slider, spaghetti cacio and Pepe, dashi broccoli, rosemary lemonade, and blueberry cobbler for dessert on the Happy hour menu. Our server gave us his recommendations and the special for today.

My mom reviewed the bar service because I'm underaged, so according to my mom, “The drinks are unique and have a good presentation. They do an excellent job making sure the drink is balanced. They have scratch-made syrups and knowledgeable bar staff.” The service in all was very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and understanding.

When the dishes came, they were outstanding. The Broccoli was juicy, warm, cooked perfectly, with Asian inspiration, and peanuts that add texture to the dish. The Pasta was modest but gratifying. It was freshly made and cooked a perfect al dente. It was creamy, cheesy, and chewy. Made with an astonishing aged cheese that added that perfect touch of salt. The BLT was smokey, warm, and practically melted in my mouth. It had a generous portion for happy hour and was made with a homemade brioche bun. But to top it all off, the blueberry cobbler; was warm and gooey. It reminded me of a warm homemade dish right out of the oven; it had a very welcoming feel. Probably the best thing of the night.

In the interior, they had decked out in cutesy and stylish Halloween decorations, which change each season. But, other than the seasonal decorations, the interior I would describe as farmhouse chic, playful, and organic. It had a very unique, fun vibe to the restaurant. And the outdoor seating was cozy and accommodated to the outdoor weather with shade and fans. The whole restaurant was aesthetically pleasing.

The restaurant is great for family, with lots of things to do with the restaurant leading to some turf to play tag, soccer, football, etc. And there is a splash pad too. There are always kids out playing. However, when we went, parents were having date nights, people coming to catch up with a friend, and even people having mom's night. There is a delightful bar to order drinks, and the food is of high quality and accommodating for others.

Overall, a great experience. I just relished the homemade food that brought a smile to my face, the warm environment, and the friendly service. It was a heartwarming experience that I got to share with my mom; I was so pleased to spend quality time with her.
